After reading the script, Jessica was aware that the character will require training in weapons and she recorded her first class by a trained professional. Jessica's expertise in mixed martial, weapons and horse riding, along with her ability to pull off stunts, give her to portray an imposing female character. In Australia she learned to muay Thai and boxing. Jake Stormoen encountered a roaming pet while making Season 4. One of the pups resided within one of the locations. Jessica took care of both puppies.
