She recorded her first lesson with a professional following having read the script. According to Jonathan Glassner, the stunt team was surprised at how well she performed during her initial lesson. The Outpost marked her first major film in the US since her prior filmographies were in Australia. Jessica's skills in mixed martial, the horse and weaponry and her capability to pull off stunts, give her to be an impressive female role. Jessica has been trained in boxing as well as muay Thai in Australia, as well as taking classes at a mixed martial training facility for martial arts.
